Rue's Mounted Still From Jif Commercial
Isn’t this wonderful? We LOVE the look on Rue’s face as she stares at the director and what looks to be one of the “suits” from Jif Peanut Butter. We knew Rue and we can see the mirth behind her straight stare. Her thoughts are probably something along the lines of: “Are you really telling me how to scoop out a spoonful of peanut butter? I was trained by Uta Hagen – I AM THE PEANUT BUTTER!” Anyway, this is one of those RARE pieces from Rue’s collection of show business memorabilia. The still is mounted on thick poster board and measures 7.5″ x 9.5″. Rue’s Jif commercial mounted still comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Citrine or Imperial Topaz? - $79 [SOLD]
As you may already know, Rue had this little faux-alligator travel case that she filled with loose gemstones – she often purchased stones and then had them made into one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces (and just for the record, how fabulous is that?). Anyway, this particular rock is either a citrine or – the rarest Imperial topaz. If it is the former, it is known as the “Lucky Merchants Stone” and is to be put in a cash register for amazing results, and is used for healing problems with digestion, diabetes, constipation and depression – none of which Rue had, so maybe it worked. If it is the later, then we are letting a stone worth a fortune go for next to nothing (which, believe it or not, Rue would love!). The boulder is over half and inch long and about 3/8″ wide. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Rue Made Red Rose Earrings [SOLD]
Rue made these red fabric and metal rose earrings over 30 years ago. She was definitely not as a good a jewelry maker as she was an actress, but that never stopped her from going for it anyway. They measure a mere 1″ long and the rose is no more than .5″ at its widest. She put little pieces of tape on the back because they were hurting her ears when she wore them – and she did wear them, all the way up until the end of her life. They come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Rue's Fabulous St. John Outfit from "Law & Order" [SOLD]
I was with Rue the day the wardrobe mistress from “Law & Order” took her shopping, and this outfit cost over $4,000! Can you imagine? Anyway, as per her contract, Rue always got to keep her costumes, and since she was playing a wealthy Park Avenue widow – who supposedly had an illegitimate son with President Kennedy – Rue steered the wardrobe mistress to the St. John Flagship Store on Fifth Avenue (she knew she wanted something she would wear again – smart Rue!). Here it is, four fabulous pieces. The pants and jacket are both size 14, the top is “L” and the studded, rhinestoned encrusted tie is 5.5″ long. Immediately after filming the episode, Rue wore the jacket and tie to the “Sordid Lives” release party – those pictures are of her with her co-stars and the series/movie creator. We realize that this is a pricier item on the site, but the reality is – even if it weren’t owned by Rue McClanahan – this outfit is a STEAL at twice the price!

Rue's Certificate of Appreciation From The Police
Rue McClanahan LOVED police officers in uniform (and out of uniform!), and the feeling was mutual. The Police Benevolent Association presented Rue with this framed Certificate of Appreciation back in 1997 when she first moved back to New York. The piece measures 14.25″ x 11.75″. Rue’s framed Certificate of Appreciation comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
