A Strand of Rue's Butterflies [On Hold]
Rue owned several of these 6-foot long strands of butterflies. She had them in three different sizes, too, and this one is the smallest, with each of the 12 butterflies measuring approximately 4″ across. We don’t know exactly what these little wonders are made out of, but the wings have the same feel and look as if they were from real butterflies. Rue used to hang these in her houseplants, and you can see a strand or two in the tall plant next to her in the photo posted. Rue’s strand of butterflies come with a print of the photo shown and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Rue's Mini Avon Breast Cancer Awareness Pin [On Hold]
I think I’ve told you this story before: I remember when Rue told me about her battle with breast cancer. It was a beautiful spring evening and we were riding in the back of a limousine through Central Park. She told me about the fear when she was first told the news, how she almost fainted, and about the horrors of treatment. However, the story had a happy ending because Rue McClanahan beat breast cancer and was alive to sit in the back of that limo with me and enjoy the gorgeous spring foliage in Central Park. Rue gave a lot of herself to support breast cancer awareness, early diagnosis, and support for the victims of the wretched disease. This is a mini-pin that Rue used to wear on her lapel. The pink ribbon was made by Avon and it measures one inch long. Rue’s breast cancer awareness pin comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Rue Made Faux Fur Hat [On Hold]
Rue made this hat using a fluffy faux fur. The piece is lined with what appears to be off-white flannel. It is a fun piece that requires a certain character to pull off. Most of us look like a Cossack when we put it on, or like we ought to be leading a marching band, but somehow Rue always looked regal in the piece, like Joan Collins, and that is a talent! Rue’s fluffy faux fur hat comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Rue Made Christmas Ornament with Mini-Pictures from Her Life [SOLD]
You know Rue was a big crafter, right? If she wasn’t in front of a camera, she was working on some interesting little project or another. Here is a personalized Christmas ornament she made. Fist, she took a card she’d received and made copies and glued them onto construction paper. Then, she scanned and miniaturized pictures of herself over the decades, cut them out, and glued them on like they were ornaments on a mini-tree. The result is “The Rue McClanahan Ornament,” and you won’t find this in the stores. She made a few of them, but each is different. This one has copied pictures that she’d already glued on, plus some images unique to this particular ornament. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
Where Are We Going In Rue's Handbasket? [On Hold]
Rue actually used her hand basket as a hand basket, who does that? She would carry it into her garden and come back inside with the basket full of tomatoes she picked off her plants. Rue’s hand basket measures 12″ x 9″ and it is 10.5″ high. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Three Framed Stage Shots From 1972 Run of "Dylan" [On Hold]
In 1972 Rue starred with Will Hare in an Off-Broadway production of “Dylan.” Rue described it as the type of show where a theatre actor can fully experience being an actor. She loved the role and made some friends during the production that remained friends for life. Rue kept these three framed stage stills from the show up on her walls as a reminder of these halcyon days. The custom-framed original stills are almost 45 years old and there is some damage that has been done after all those years of California and New York City heat/cold/humidity/dryness. You can see some fogginess, but we don’t know if that is on the photos or the glass, and we don’t want to jeopardize the integrity of the pieces by starting to tear them apart. Rue’s three framed stage stills from “Dylan” come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
