Rue always had to keep busy, so when she was not in front of a camera or audience, or preparing to be, she was doing something that took lots of time. This is an example of one of her crafting projects – a beaded safety pin bracelet. Do people still make these anymore? They did back in the late ’70s and early ’80s when she did hers. Rue’s bracelet has an intricate blue and gold bead design that must have taken forever, just the way she liked her craft projects (she starting embroidering a king-sized bed spread on the set of “Maude” that took 32 years to finish!). The beaded pins are strung on elastic and measure 3.5″ across and 1.25″ thick. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
