Elaine Stritch Signed Playbill To Rue [On Hold]
Elaine Stritch was a big Broadway star with a STRONG personality. Rue had the utmost respect for her talent and was a big fan of Ms. Stritch’s one-woman show – “Elaine Stritch At Liberty.” This is Rue’s Playbill from the show that Elaine Stritch signed to her. It reads: “To Rue love & peace Elaine Stritch.” The piece will come with prints of the photos showing Rue and Elaine together and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Signed Publicity Still From 1970 Movie [On Hold]
Do you remember Eli Wallach? He made a zillion movies and worked right up until the end of his long life. He was married to the beautiful and equally talented Anne Jackson for something like 60 years. Mr. Wallach was a real winner in the game of life. Rue was friends with the couple for many decades. She and Mr. Wallach worked together for the first time in 1970 when they made the movie “The People Next Door.” Rue wrote about the movie, and one of her hilarious lines from the script, in her memoir – “My First Five Husband…And The Ones Who Got Away” – and this original 8″ x 10″ signed publicity shot was reprinted in the book. In fact, the publishers sticker is still on the back of this picture. Rue’s signed publicity still – signed by both Rue and Eli Wallach – comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Original Examination Report From Rue's Visit With Infamous Doctor (And Those Are Rue's Vocal Cords!) [On Hold]
Right off the bat, let’s make clear that the photos on this medical examination report are of Rue McClanahan’s VOCAL CORDS, and not any other part of her anatomy! Obviously, this is a singular piece because it is a report about Rue’s vocal cords, with images and her name. But what is not as obvious, and what makes this piece doubly collectible, is that the doctor who conducted this exam and issued the report is the same woman who ended up playing a key role in the death of Joan Rivers a few years later – Rue dodged a bullet there! This report ought to be framed and preserved forever. Rue’s medical examination report of her VOCAL CORDS (!) comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Rue's Wooden Frog Instrument [On Hold]
Rue loved nothing more than a musical evening with people playing piano and other instruments and singing together while everyone gradually got totally blasted. Oh, wait, we didn’t mean “blasted” necessarily, but you understand. Many of her friends had real talent, too, and could sing like angels and play like virtuoso. Some of her friends however, ahem, like me, could NOT sing a note or play anything, and so she kept percussion instruments around. That way we could be a part of the fun. This carved wooden frog was kept near or on top of Rue’s piano so it was always available to hand to the dork in the corner who couldn’t sing or play. The piece measures 5.5″ tail to nose and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
(By the way, it makes a really cool sound, too, when you slide that wooden stick up and down the frogs back!)

NOW $80! Rue's Wooden Bead Purse [SOLD]
In 1989 Rue made a movie entitled “The Man in The Brown Suit.” Although the action is supposedly set in South Africa, it was actually filmed in Spain. Since she was so close, Rue hopped over to Africa, to Morocco, and did some site seeing. Naturally, being Rue, site seeing included shopping, and she purchased this wooden bead purse during her trip. The bag measures 5″ x 8″ with a 22″ strap. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Slightly Messed Up 5" x 7" Original Signed Publicity Card [SOLD]
We see why Rue didn’t send out this original signed card from the cover shoot of her memoir; she either put something sticky on it that left a mark when she pulled it off, or she slid something across the surface. This 5″ x 7″ signed card has come scrapes or lines on the front. They are very faint, but obviously this is why Rue stuck it in a book she was reading rather than have it mailed out. Bad news that it has the mark, but good news that another card with her original signature exists – we thought they were all gone.
