Featured ItemsNOW $80! Rue's Wooden Bead Purse [SOLD]
In 1989 Rue made a movie entitled “The Man in The Brown Suit.” Although the action is supposedly set in South Africa, it was actually filmed in Spain. Since she was so close, Rue hopped over to Africa, to Morocco, and did some site seeing. Naturally, being Rue, site seeing included shopping, and she purchased this wooden bead purse during her trip. The bag measures 5″ x 8″ with a 22″ strap. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
$275 NOW $80!Rue's Silly Frog Umbrella
We’ve written before and we probably will again – Rue McClanahan had a thing for frogs. Isn’t this umbrella a hoot? It was probably made for a child, but Rue McClanahan carried it high and proud. She could be silly with a completely straight face, too, which made it all the funnier. Rue’s frog umbrella comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$225 NOW $112.50Rue's Large Fresh Water Pearls [SOLD]
Rue’s large fresh water pearl necklace measures 22″ long, with the knotted pendant hanging down 6″. It is a triple strand that weighs 4.9 ounces. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$350Rue's Bathroom Keychain From Production of "Oklahoma!"
Every production has a different budget, and that budget will determine the quality of the cast and crew perks. As opposed to the Tiffany & Co. engraved sterling silver keychain Rue received for “Six Dance Lessons…” – posted above – when she did a production of “Oklahoma!” she received a plastic keychain with the name of the character she was playing on it. Rue attached a elastic band to be worn around one’s wrist and then attached the bathroom key to it so she wouldn’t loose it or forget it inside. She even wrote a note on the back to warn people looking for a memento of their own not to take it! Rue’s “Aunt Eller” keychain comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$175 NOW $87.50Rue's Signed and Framed Marquee Poster From "Picnic"
Rue and Gregory Harrison did it all together; meaning they did television, film and the stage. As for anything else….who’s to say except Mr. Harrison? Although have a look at his note to Rue…hmmmm…. No doubt about it, Gregory Harrison was and is S-E-X-Y! Anyway, they did a stage production and movie version of the show “Picnic” back in the ’80s, and this is a signed marquee poster from the production that was presented to Rue by the cast. The female lead of this production was none other than Jennifer Jason Leigh; she’s having a career resurgence right now, right? This 22″ x 14″ poster has been matted and set in a 25.25″ x 17.25″ frame. There appears to be some water damage to the top of the gold mat, but otherwise it seems to be in good condition. Rue’s signed and framed poster from “Picnic” comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$375 NOW $187.50Rue's "Arsenio Hall Show" Gift
Rue appeared on “The Arsenio Hall Show” a couple of times while she was on “The Golden Girls.” Rue adored Arsenio. Like most talk shows, the show had certain gift items identified with the production that they would give to guests. During his first talk show stint, Arsenio Hall had a stuffed bear wearing a monogrammed satin disco jacket that he presented to his guests. The bear measures about a foot tall and is eight inches wide at its widest point. Rue kept the bear Arsenio gave her for over 20-years! You can see Rue’s bear in the center of a bed in her California house in the picture posted. It comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
