Featured ItemsDelicate Beaded Necklace [SOLD]
We believe this beaded necklace is made by the woman who Rue bought most of her beaded jewelry from, and we think that might be her with Rue in the picture. What her name is, we haven’t a clue. Anyway, this 23.5″ beaded necklace is relatively simple and delicate. It has pink and green glass beads, and then what appear to be tiny freshwater pearls or pearl-type beads and then some little gold colored balls. Rue had commented in the past that all this woman’s jewelry was quite expensive – partially because each piece was a one-of-a-kind, but also because of the fine materials she used – so we might be giving treasures away again, but we believe once in awhile a gamble with pricing is in order because the worst case scenario is: one of Rue’s fans gets a great deal on a treasure – and that isn’t a bad thing. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$49.50Rue's Set of Four Balsa Wood Ornaments
We couldn’t bring ourselves to break up Rue’s set of four handmade balsa wood ornaments, so we’re selling all four together. These are individually beautiful pieces and don’t necessarily imply Christmas, so they could be hung out on anything year around as art. The pieces measure between 2.25″ and 2.75″ across and they will all appear on one Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$225 NOW $112.50Large Natural Brazilian Garnet [SOLD]
This rather substantial stone would make an excellent cocktail ring, solitaire necklace, pin, or single earring for those who wear them. Rue picked the gem up during a cruise along the Amazon river. It measures 3/8″ long and just short of that wide, and is about 1/4″ thick. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$150Rue's Flying Pig Bar Soap Holder
Rue loved pigs. Thus, it makes sense that she would have a flying pig as her bar soap holder. We actually don’t think this piece was made for that purpose because the base is made of a light wood and has NOT done well getting wet every single day (you can see it is kind of lumpy now). However, a soap holder is what Rue used the piece for; it sat next to her kitchen sink offering up various bars of scented soaps to those who wanted to wash their hands for many, many years. Rue’s flying pig stands 7″ tall and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$275Junk Jewelry Anklet [$14.14][SOLD]
This is definitely NOT real gold, and those are definitely NOT real pearls. We don’t know if this thing is made of recycled coffee cans and drops of Elmers glue or what, but we do know for sure, that for some unknown reason, Rue McClanahan owned this junk jewelry anklet. It was found in her collection in the master bedroom of her Manhattan apartment, and therefore it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue. Just get it out of here, okay?
$14.14Citrine or Imperial Topaz? - $79 [SOLD]
As you may already know, Rue had this little faux-alligator travel case that she filled with loose gemstones – she often purchased stones and then had them made into one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces (and just for the record, how fabulous is that?). Anyway, this particular rock is either a citrine or – the rarest Imperial topaz. If it is the former, it is known as the “Lucky Merchants Stone” and is to be put in a cash register for amazing results, and is used for healing problems with digestion, diabetes, constipation and depression – none of which Rue had, so maybe it worked. If it is the later, then we are letting a stone worth a fortune go for next to nothing (which, believe it or not, Rue would love!). The boulder is over half and inch long and about 3/8″ wide. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
