This beautiful Byzantine Cross was a gift to Rue from her sixth husband. It measures 1.5″ x 1.5″ and it can be worn as either a pin or a medallion. It weighs .5 ounces and consists of a gold colored metal – perhaps brass or bronze – with a center cabochon hard stone and four inlaid pieces. It is stamped on the back with MMA and BMCO. We know the first three letters represent the Museum of Modern Art, and we think the second four letters may be the Brunswick Manufacturing Company in Illinois, but we aren’t certain. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
