This amazing photograph was taken in 1967 by the founder of The Hartford Stage Company, Jacques Cartier, while Rue was there performing for a season. This was just before she made her Broadway debut with Dustin Hoffman in 1968′s “Jimmy Shine.” This original photo is mounted on some sort of poster board – the corners of which were dented long ago – and Rue framed it in this white wood frame and hung it in her home office. You can see it in the top left corner in the full office shot, and just above her head in the still from an earlier interview in her home office. The frame itself is about 17″ x 14″ and the mounted photograph is 13.5″ x 10.5″. It comes with a still of the office picture and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
