Rue met and became friends with actor Robert Morse in the early 80′s when they worked together on a short-lived television show called “Masquerade.” Remember that? It was Kirstie Alley’s television debut! Anyway, when Mr. Morse did his award winning 1989 performance as Truman Capote in “Tru,” he signed and presented Rue with one of the theatre window posters (artwork by Fennimore). It is cardboard and framed in black metal and glass – slightly bowed inside since it was an actual window poster. It is a double provenance item since it has his signature and personalized message to Rue, and was owned by her and hung in her Manhattan apartment. It measures 14″ x 22″ and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
