Featured ItemsRue's Amazing Bronze And Pink Quartz Creation
Now this is what jewelry is meant to be! Just look at this vintage, one-of-a-kind piece of Rue’s; isn’t it amazing? We’re calling those links that make up the chain “bones” and each one is about 2″ long, so the whole piece is 24″. The huge center medallion creation is 4″ x 2″ and a full inch thick. We think that is a big polished chunk of pink quartz in the center. Rue’s substantial, unique necklace comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$750 NOW $375Rue's Amazing Work-Of-Art Necklace
This necklace is nothing short of a work-of-art! The piece was custom made for Rue by a Florida designer who made Rue’s jewelry for the series “Safe Harbor.” The necklace has many different beads, balls, crystals, turquoise pieces, and metal thingamabobs. Rue’s work-of-art necklace measures 26″ long and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$375 NOW $187.50Where Are We Going In Rue's Handbasket?
Rue actually used her hand basket as a hand basket, who does that? She would carry it into her garden and come back inside with the basket full of tomatoes she picked off her plants. Rue’s hand basket measures 12″ x 9″ and it is 10.5″ high. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$225 NOW $112.50Rue's Large Painted Canvas Pillow
This is another fabulous piece that came from the renovation of Rue’s Encino, California home – when she was spending money like a Rockefeller! Do you know she actually spent over $1,000,000 on her yard alone! And this was almost 30-years ago (Oh, Rue!). Anyway, she did pick up some really amazing possessions during those crazy years, and this 19″, hand-painted canvas pillow is one of them. The piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$275Black and White Original Cardboard Mounted Rue Portrait From 1967
Rue owned two of these blow ups from a 1967 portrait shot by Jacques Cartier; he was the founder of The Hartford Stage Company where she performed for a season. We already posted the framed one that hung in Rue’s home office – you can see that one in the photos posted – but this is probably the one you can see without a frame in the photo taken in Rue’s Cloisters of Fort Lee home in 1972. This is a large piece – it measures 13.75″ high and 10.5″ wide, and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$375 NOW $187.50Original Photograph With Significant Hollywood Connection
Rue was made the Honorary Mayor of Hollywood in the ’90s. Don’t you just love the enthusiasm and joy of the women near her? Anyway, the photographer who took the photo was George Hurrell’s last assistant, the photographer Richard Settle. Hurrell was the biggest Hollywood glamour photographer in history, and his long term assistant is an amazing photographer in his own right. We know for a fact that this photograph is “important” because it is an original print of Rue McClanahan that was personally owned by her, but we suspect it is “IMPORTANT” on a completely different level due to the historical significance of the man who shot the photo. Only time will tell…. Rue’s original photograph from the day she became Honorary Mayor comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
