Rue's Wooden Frog Instrument
Rue loved nothing more than a musical evening with people playing piano and other instruments and singing together while everyone gradually got totally blasted. Oh, wait, we didn’t mean “blasted” necessarily, but you understand. Many of her friends had real talent, too, and could sing like angels and play like virtuoso. Some of her friends however, ahem, like me, could NOT sing a note or play anything, and so she kept percussion instruments around. That way we could be a part of the fun. This carved wooden frog was kept near or on top of Rue’s piano so it was always available to hand to the dork in the corner who couldn’t sing or play. The piece measures 5.5″ tail to nose and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
(By the way, it makes a really cool sound, too, when you slide that wooden stick up and down the frogs back!)

Rue's Past President Chew Toys
Aren’t these a hoot? These past president chew toys made Rue roar with laughter; she especially loved the little Dan Quayle attached to President Bush! These chew toys are over 25-years old and they still are in good shape, even the squeakers in the bottoms work. Rue’s past president chew toys measures about 5.5″ high and they come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

NOW $80! Rue's Dramatic Black Hat with Hat Box [SOLD]
One glance will tell you that this hat of Rue’s was definitely for some role she played – it is just too dramatic! Even if the tulle netting, ostrich feather, and sequins didn’t convince you, then certainly the double-stick tape and foam insert put in there so the hat would stay firmly on her head would do the trick – this hat is from a project, we just don’t know which one. Therefore, this “Sonni of San Fransisco” number is being listed as one of Rue’s personal hats from her closet. The entire piece is about 10″ across and about 8″ high, but it is malleable and so those measurements can change. The firm woven part is about 7″ x 6″ and it has a double row of sequins inside the brim. Because of the big feather, Rue kept the hat in a solid hat box – 12″ x 4.5″ – and we’ll include the box with the hat. Also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Rue's "Magnolia" Tunic
Here is another piece Rue owned that was made by her dear friend Grace Martin. Rue had to alter the piece slightly by sewing the center, cleavage-closing fabric into the bodice after a wardrobe malfunction left her…ahem….exposed. The silk is gorgeous. The piece is kind of a one-size-fits-all tunic and there is a label sewn in that reads: “It’s A Magnolia by Grace Martin.” Rue’s print silk tunic comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

It is framed in an vintage tin or some other light metal frame, and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
