We found this 40+ year old Time Magazine in a stack of stuff in Rue’s library and didn’t know why the heck she’d hung onto it for so long. After ready through almost the whole thing, we figured it out. Rue was performing in “Who’s Happy Now?” in 1969 and actually received a positive write up in the magazine. Not too shabby for an unknown actress; she was amazingly talented even back then and it showed. Rue loved the show “Who’s Happy Now,” and even did a taped version for PBS years later; that was when she worked with John Ritter and they ended up becoming lifelong friends. In fact, if you ever watch Rue’s “Intimate Portrait” you’ll recognize John Ritter’s voice as the narrator. Anyway, with the original magazine, we’ll include a 4″ x 6″ print of a picture of Rue onstage during the stage performance, and a 4″ x 6″ copy of a candid picture of her with Mr. Ritter off-set during the filmed version. Also comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
