Featured ItemsESTATE NUMBERED COPY of Rue's Original "Golden Girls" Contract
You might recall, we had listed Rue’s original signed “Golden Girls” contract for $2,500, which we admit, was alot of dough. Many fans asked if they could buy a copy of the document and after consulting with Rue’s family, we are now able to offer some numbered copies for a much more affordable price. The bundle includes the following: a copy of the little 4″ x 6″ note card that was attached to the stack of papers when they were forwarded from Rue’s agent to her home; a copy of the letter from the lawyers who prepared the documents to the agents at I.C.M.; a copy of the original 2-paged basic agreement; a copy of the 1-page “Inducement Letter;” a copy of the original 9-paged contract that includes the schedules and attachments; and finally a copy of the signed pick up letter when the producers exercised their “option” after the success of “The Golden Girls” pilot. The contract has all the details for the pilot and Rue’s compensation for many seasons. Of course, after the huge success of the show, Rue hired a pitbull lawyer – who she got from Jean Stapleton, but the way – and broke her contract so she could make some BIG MONEY! Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$225Collection of 15 of Rue's Various Personal Photos [SOLD]
Rue maintained a vast collection of personal photographs, which she kept in cabinets in the home office of her Manhattan apartment. Here are 15 of those personal photos – with Rue appearing in each one. The snapshot from her sister’s wedding is 3.5″ x 5″, but all the rest are 4″ x 6″. She is shown having dinner with the Academy Award winning Actress Patricia Neal in one shot, and there is another famous actor whose name we can not remember now at the table with them. Oh, it’s on the tip of our tongues! Is is Robert Stack? We love Rue talking to the monkey during an Amazon Cruise, and she looks so happy in both the high school reunion shot and the one taken at Sardi’s Restaurant the night she was presented with her caricature. The collection comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$125Heart Locket on Sterling Chain [SOLD]
Although there are no pictures inside this 3/4″ heart-shaped locket, we think it may be the one Rue wore in the movie “Rusty: The Great Rescue,” a film she made back in 1997 with Hal Holbrook. The chain is sterling silver and 18″ long and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$114.14Rue's Red Velvet Lounging Pajamas [On Hold]
These red velvet lounging pajamas are over-the-top! How glamorous can anyone be? It is almost required that one walks around carrying a martini in an up glass when you wear something like this! We suspect Rue wore these in a theatrical production because the draw string was pulled out and an elastic waistband sewn in, which is usually what a costumer will do to facilitate the quick changes needed on the stage. The two-piece outfit was made by “The Pajamagram Company” and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$275 NOW $137.50Portrait With Bob Hope From His Show [On Hold]
Rue and Bob Hope worked together when he did an episode of “The Golden Girls” in the late 1980s; Mr. Hope adored Rue and the feeling was mutual. Years later, in the mid ’90s, Mr. Hope asked Rue to appear on one of his television specials and, of course, she was thrilled to do so. This portrait was taken during that appearance. Trivia Fact #1 – Rue used this portrait in her memoir and the publisher’s tag is still on the back. Trivial Fact #2 – Rue was wearing a dress from a episode of “The Golden Girls” when she went on Mr. Hope’s show! This original 8″ x 10″ portrait comes with prints of the photos posted and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$950Heritage Professional Barbeque Set - $79 [SOLD]
Rue had a big backyard in the middle of NYC – which is rarer then hen’s teeth – and she loved to have BBQ parties. Naturally, she bought her tools at Brookstone – only the best for Rue – but she never went to the trouble of digging them out of the garden shed and using them. Instead, Rue would cook using a fork or some restaurant-style tongs that were readily accessible from the kitchen. As a result, this 11-piece “Heritage Professional Barbeque Set” is like new. Just think how cool you’ll be cooking out this summer when someone comments on your beautiful tools and you get to tell them exactly whose tools your flipping burgers with! This set comes in the original box with a Certificate of Authenticity from The Estate of Rue McClanahan.
