Rue had this reproduction – we think – embroidered tapestry for many years. Can you find it in the photo from when we moved a bunch of Rue’s stuff into the dining room? Anyway, the reproduction depicts the Medieval Flander’s “To My One Desire” scene from “The Lady and the Unicorn” series. Or, it could be the original and we ought to be contacting museums. Probably not though since Rue folded it in half and used it as a table cloth in the foyer of her Manhattan apartment, and even she wouldn’t go that far with a masterpiece. Rue kept her tapestry on top of this amazing old apothecary cabinet – how cool is that piece? The tapestry has backing with grommets so it can be hung. It measures 45″ x 33″ and comes with copies of the photos shown and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
