Rue twisted this 24″ triple strand of cultured freshwater pearls and wore them when she married her high school sweetheart – 34 years after they dated in high school! He was Rue’s fifth husband and the marriage lasted one year, but the pearls lasted the rest of her life. (There is a lesson there, I think…) Anyway, she kept them inside an old glass chocolate case that sat on a dresser in the master bedroom of her Manhattan apartment – you can see them on the bottom shelf in a mound of other pearl necklaces. We’ll include a 4″ x 6″ print of her wearing them on her wedding day. By the way, the photo was taken in the living room of the house she grew up in in Ardmore, Oklahoma. In fact, we’ll include a 4″ x 6″ print of a photo taken 34 years earlier in front of the same staircase when the two wacky lovebirds were dating in high school (sans pearls). Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
