Aren’t these fabulous? Sure, they are interesting at first glance – as most old glassware can be – but when you really look at them is when you realize how cool they actually are. Rue found five matching stemware glasses and they ALL have bubble defects inside. You can see each of their bubbles in the shot with the back lighting. The glasses are about 5.5″ tall, the base is almost 3″ across and the opening about 2.75, and besides their bubbles they are in excellent condition. These are durable pieces, too – you could probably stand on them and they wouldn’t break; they are thick and heavy. The fact that these glasses all share a manufacturer’s defect, and they were owned and used by Rue McClanahan for decades, is what makes this set of Depression Era stemware fabulous. The set comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
