Featured ItemsPortrait With Bob Hope From His Show
Rue and Bob Hope worked together when he did an episode of “The Golden Girls” in the late 1980s; Mr. Hope adored Rue and the feeling was mutual. Years later, in the mid ’90s, Mr. Hope asked Rue to appear on one of his television specials and, of course, she was thrilled to do so. This portrait was taken during that appearance. Trivia Fact #1 – Rue used this portrait in her memoir and the publisher’s tag is still on the back. Trivial Fact #2 – Rue was wearing a dress from a episode of “The Golden Girls” when she went on Mr. Hope’s show! This original 8″ x 10″ portrait comes with prints of the photos posted and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$950The Last of Rue's "Eye" Pieces [SOLD]
Rue purchased four amazing pieces from a California ceramicist back in the ’80s; she loved these items and moved them from one house to the next until all four ended up in her Manhattan apartment. Although none of the pieces are signed with a name, they all have the “Eye Motif.” Rue’s son is keeping the huge naked woman platter, the cow bowl went to a fan in Chicago, we are delivering the enormous nymph bowl to a woman from Pennsylvania this weekend, and that leaves only one piece – the “Bone Plate.” This ceramic platter measures 17″ long by a foot wide; it is BIG. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This is your last chance to own one of the pieces from Rue’s collection of this fun artist’s work. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$475Rue's Vintage Beaded Necklace
We don’t know where Rue got this necklace. She visited many reservations over the years and used to purchase a lot of Native American arts and crafts, so perhaps that was where she got it. Or, one of her little nieces could have made it for her. We really have no clue, but it sure is cute, and well made whoever did it. The necklace measures 25″ long and the little medallion is 1.75″ x .5″. Rue’s beaded necklace comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$175 NOW $87.50Rue's Hat From Bay Street Theatre
In 1998, Rue went to Sag Harbor and did a show at the Bay Street Theatre. It was entitled “House,” directed by Joe Mantello, and co-starred Richard Dreyfuss and Marsha Mason. Rue was given this hat by the Theatre manager and she wore it for years after. In fact, she wore it to an anti-veal event and attached the pin you see in the photos. This is a nice hat with solid construction and even a leather strap. Rue’s Bay Street Theatre cap comes with her anti-veal pin still attached and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

$150 NOW $75Formal Portrait of Rue, Her Little Sister, and Mother
This formal portrait was taken of Rue, her little sister Melinda, and her mother back in 1944. Rue told me that her grandmother made their matching dresses; obviously that is where both Rue and her sister got their sewing talent, because those dresses are beautiful. Although people are always raving about digital photography, we think these old black and whites from film are crisper than anything around today. Rue’s original 8.75″ x 6.5″ portrait from 1944 comes with a certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
