Rue’s Framed Original Poster (and Rue’s original annotated copy of the play) from 1970 Production of “Dark of the Moon” [SOLD]

Rue writes about being in this show in her Memoir – “My First Five Husbands…And The Ones Who Got Away.” Apparently, the producers replaced an excellent actress with the “Playmate of the Year” to try and boost ticket sales. They put the bombshell on “skin-rich posters” to create a buzz, and it worked – according to Rue – “for a week.” This is the “skin-rich poster” she was referring to, and Rue hung onto it for 40-years. In fact, as you can see in the last picture, it hung in the hall of her Manhattan apartment immediately to the left of the famous office door she designed. Amazingly, we were able to find Rue’s original copy of the play in her library with a review stuck between the pages! We think all three items – the framed original poster, Rue’s annotated copy of the play, and the review – ought to stay together and so we are selling them as such. Each comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
