Featured ItemsRue's Large Framed Original Drawing of Shubert Alley [On Hold]
This original pencil drawing of Rue’s is quite large – the framed piece measures 22.75″ x 31″. It depicts Shubert Alley in the Broadway District of Manhattan and it was done in September of 1979 by an artist named Andreas Heise Bergamo. Mr. Bergamo could draw! Rue’s 36-year-old framed original drawing comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue. Because it is so large, and covered in glass, we are only going to ship within the continental United States, unless you are willing to scrap the frame, and then we’ll roll it and ship it anywhere in the world.
$450 NOW $225Framed Poster From One Of Rue's Early Theatrical Projects [On Hold]
We don’t know what year Rue was in this show. I have an idea: let’s call the theatre and see if they know; maybe they will even have some photos. Okay, I called and spoke with a nice young lady who put me in touch with the playhouse historian. I just sent her an email and we’ll see what she comes up with. In the meantime, this framed poster of Rue’s measures 27″ x 19″. It is old and there is some wrinkling and discoloration. I wonder just how old it is? We’ll see. Rue’s framed poster from “The Price” comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$250Rue's Director Chair [SOLD]
We aren’t quite sure which project Rue used this chair on, but we know she had it for years in the yard of her Manhattan apartment. The canvas has a little discoloration along the edge, and the stain is worn off the arms in some spots from frequent use, but it is still solid and there are no rips. The back is embroidered with Rue’s name. Comes with the frame and panels shown, and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$325Original Photographs Given To Rue By Brad Davis From "Midnight Express" [On Hold]
Rue adored the late actor Brad Davis, and from all accounts the feeling was mutual. Rue and Mr. Davis did theatre together in New York City in the ’70s, and then Mr. Davis lived at Rue’s home when he first moved out to California. Not only did Rue love him personally, but she considered him one of the finest young actors of his generation. Brad Davis starred in the powerful movie “Midnight Express” – if you haven’t seen it, we highly recommend you stop reading this and add it to your Netflix queue immediately! – and he gifted Rue these original stills from the production. The photographs measure 10″ x 6-6.75″. We are including an original 4.5″ x 3.5″ snapshot from Rue’s personal photo collection of the two of them and others at the Cannes Film Festival in 1978. We’ll also include prints of the two photos of Rue and Brad showing them on stage together in New York City and in Rue’s garden in California. This mini photo collection will appear on one Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$650 NOW $325Rue's Nuts and Beads Necklace [On Hold]
What a bizarre necklace, right? The bead part makes sense, but the nuts? We can just imagine Rue’s delight when she discovered the piece, too; Rue adored the unusual. This strand of 1.5mm beads and 5mm nuts is 32″ long and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$225 NOW $112.50Rue's Girl on a Bench T-Shirt [On Hold]
This casual 3/4-sleeve T-shirt of Rue’s was probably from some professional gig because the tag was cut out and there were half a dozen sequins hand sewn on the front. Usually Rue or a costumer on set would do something like that to make sure the tag didn’t stick out after a quick change, and to catch the lights and make something have a little extra pop. However, since we can’t find any photos of Rue wearing the piece in a production, and we have no idea what it was used in, we’re listing this shirt here in her closet. Rue’s girl-on-a-bench tee comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
