Rue’s Opal and Garnet Ring from ’70s [$312.50] [SOLD]

Rue kept this wonderful wooden jewelry box in the master bedroom of her Manhattan apartment, and it was full of rings. Many are costume pieces from various stage and screen roles she played over the years, but many others are actually fine jewelry – this is one such piece. This 14kt gold ring weighs 7.4 grams and has three beautiful, fire-filled opals, with the two long ones each measuring over an 1/8th of an inch long. The face of the ring is 1″ x .75″ and also has a round center opal and six deep red garnets (or are those rubies?). It is a gorgeous piece with the type gold craftsmanship you rarely see anymore. The ring is a size 6.5 and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
