Featured ItemsBlanche's Taupe Leather Mules [SOLD]
Can’t you just hear Blanche click-clacking across the kitchen floor? Rue wore these taupe leather strap mules during multiple seasons of “The Golden Girls,” and you can spot them in multiple episodes within those seasons. They are made by a company called “Onex” and we think they are about a size 8, since that was what she usually took in a mule. Since these were such favorites, they are definitely a little scuffed up, and the insoles have clear wear from Rue’s heels and toes. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$500Six Hard and Eight Softcover Books from Rue's Collection
Rue loved to read and she owned a room full of books. Each of the books in this collection of 14 titles will have a printed bookplate on the inside indicating the following: “From the Private Library of Rue McClanahan.” In addition to gorgeous coffee table books about film directors and character actors, there is a real gem in this group entitled: “Ferhoodled English – A collection of quaintly amusing expressions heard among the Pennsylvania Dutch Folks.” This is just the type of book Rue loved. She’d read aloud and we’d almost pee ourselves because we’d be laughing so hard. Also, there is this “Aloneness” self help workbook that one of her husbands starting completing that makes for some interesting reading. NOTE – This is NOT for publication. All of the books will appear on one Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

$275Slightly Messed Up 5" x 7" Original Signed Publicity Card [SOLD]
We see why Rue didn’t send out this original signed card from the cover shoot of her memoir; she either put something sticky on it that left a mark when she pulled it off, or she slid something across the surface. This 5″ x 7″ signed card has come scrapes or lines on the front. They are very faint, but obviously this is why Rue stuck it in a book she was reading rather than have it mailed out. Bad news that it has the mark, but good news that another card with her original signature exists – we thought they were all gone.
$175Signed Jazz Program From Event Rue and Bea Hosted
This piece probably won’t appeal to everyone, but to the fan of jazz, this piece is going to be AMAZING! First of all, how bizarre is it that Rue McClanahan and Bea Arthur hosted this jazz event at all? If you knew Rue though, you’d know she was a huge fan of jazz from the very beginning. She and her best friend, later her second husband, Norman, were jazz nuts. Rue’s son, Mark, is a jazz guitarist to this day. Can you see the paintings Rue had hanging around her Manhattan apartment? They are lots of jazz greats, and Rue didn’t buy those works of art, she had them commissioned directly from the artist! Anyway, this event had a lot of jazz greats in person, and many of them signed Rue’s program. And although she did not sign her name, we think that note on the back, which reads: “To My Dear Rue, Thank you!!!” was from Bea Arthur. Rue was the one that convinced her to do it, and Bea ended up having a fabulous time and falling hard for jazz. We haven’t found anything public about this event, either, so this is a rare document from what was certainly an unbelievable gathering of musical and acting talent. This originally signed piece of jazz and television history comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$375 NOW $187.50Delicate Beaded Necklace [SOLD]
We believe this beaded necklace is made by the woman who Rue bought most of her beaded jewelry from, and we think that might be her with Rue in the picture. What her name is, we haven’t a clue. Anyway, this 23.5″ beaded necklace is relatively simple and delicate. It has pink and green glass beads, and then what appear to be tiny freshwater pearls or pearl-type beads and then some little gold colored balls. Rue had commented in the past that all this woman’s jewelry was quite expensive – partially because each piece was a one-of-a-kind, but also because of the fine materials she used – so we might be giving treasures away again, but we believe once in awhile a gamble with pricing is in order because the worst case scenario is: one of Rue’s fans gets a great deal on a treasure – and that isn’t a bad thing. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
$49.50Rue's Dream Catcher
As many of you already know, Rue McClanahan had some American Indian blood in her veins; Rue was a proud, card-carrying member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. It should comes as no surprise then that she had a dream catcher in her Manhattan apartment. Legend has it that this device catches all the negative or toxic dreams while you sleep, much like a spider’s web catches all that tries to pass through it, and then in the morning they disappear. This leaves only positive and good dreams to fill your nights. Of course, Rue really didn’t need a dream catcher since all she ever seemed to dream about was MEN! Rue’s dream catcher measures 7.5″ wide and is 1.25″ thick. We think Rue actually sewed the red fabric on the back of this handmade work of art, probably to make the beads and web stand out more. Rue’s dream catcher comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
