A Pair of Artificial Flowers Rue Would Clip To Her Hair and Clothing
Do women still wear artificial flowers? Rue wore them pinned or clipped in her hair or on her clothes from the time she was a little girl. It was not at all unusual for Rue to clip or pin some silk flowers in the V of a low cut blouse or dress, or to use them to pull focus when her hair looked “like a thatched hut,” as she was known to describe the look. This pair of Rue’s decorative flowers measure about 4.5″ x 3.5″ and they both have pins and clips on the back. Rue’s pair of accessory flowers will appear on one Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Trash Basket From Rue's Home Office
You can see this trash basket on the floor of the home office in Rue’s Manhattan apartment next to Rue and her bestie, Sue. The piece measures 12.5″ tall and is 12.5″ wide, too. We don’t think this was necessarily made to be a trash basket, but that is what Rue used it for. The piece will come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

"Wicked" Signed Cookbook and Signed Playbill with Publicity Card - $79 [SOLD]
While Rue was playing Madame Morrible in the hit Broadway Musical “Wicked,” the cast and crew released a second edition of their charitable cookbook. Rue included a questionable recipe from her Aunt Wenonah that actually involves pouring a can of 7-Up into a baking dish with dough! We made it, and guess what? It is delicious! Anyway, the cookbook is signed by Rue and we’ll include an original signed playbill and publicity card, too. It measures 5.75″ x 8.5″, is 131 pages long, and contains over 65 recipes. Comes with a 4″ x 6″ print of Rue on stage with Ben Vereen as The Wizard – just because we love that picture – and a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Formal Portrait of Rue, Her Little Sister, and Mother
This formal portrait was taken of Rue, her little sister Melinda, and her mother back in 1944. Rue told me that her grandmother made their matching dresses; obviously that is where both Rue and her sister got their sewing talent, because those dresses are beautiful. Although people are always raving about digital photography, we think these old black and whites from film are crisper than anything around today. Rue’s original 8.75″ x 6.5″ portrait from 1944 comes with a certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

Rue's Big Brass Heart Cuff [SOLD]
This brass and enamel cuff has hearts painted on it and so it made the cut for Valentine’s Day. There is a small chip in the red enamel where Rue took a dive late one night – we’re not talking – but otherwise it is in solid shape. It measures 2.5″ across, but since it is a cuff you can open or close it as you wish. It is almost 2″ high at it’s center point and weighs 1.8 ounces. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.

The Last of Rue's "Eye" Pieces [SOLD]
Rue purchased four amazing pieces from a California ceramicist back in the ’80s; she loved these items and moved them from one house to the next until all four ended up in her Manhattan apartment. Although none of the pieces are signed with a name, they all have the “Eye Motif.” Rue’s son is keeping the huge naked woman platter, the cow bowl went to a fan in Chicago, we are delivering the enormous nymph bowl to a woman from Pennsylvania this weekend, and that leaves only one piece – the “Bone Plate.” This ceramic platter measures 17″ long by a foot wide; it is BIG. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. This is your last chance to own one of the pieces from Rue’s collection of this fun artist’s work. Comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Estate of Rue.
