Rue wore this first pair of simple conservative gold toned Monet balls in “To My Daughter,” a movie made in 1990. We’ll include a copy of the publicity card shown which was mailed to Rue’s California house, even though she isn’t wearing the earrings in the shot on the card, it is still connected to the ball earrings since she wore them in the movie. Rue also MIGHT have worn them in the movie where she is wearing the black hat, is that “Generation Gap (?); we can’t tell for sure, but it definitely looks like them. The other pair are classic Christian Dior ’80s style faux pearl and gold clips. Rue had this beautiful portrait done by this British artist, John Currin, and don’t these look like the earrings he painted her wearing? Both pair of Rue’s earrings will appear on the same Certificate of Authenticity and we’ll include prints of all the photos shown.
